Ex-Hibs keeper Ofir Marciano has just ended a two-year spell with the Eredivisie champions and was blown away by the support.
Ofir Marciano felt the surge of the Celtic Park crowd as he stood in the eye of the storm as an opposition goalkeeper for Hibs. And the big Israeli was right in the midst of that electric current as a spectator at more than one European evening in the east end of Glasgow.

And never was that more evident than on the European stage when - in 14 home ties across Marciano’s two seasons at the club - they never lost once. “But I’m sure Celtic will feel they’re in a special place when they face Feyenoord next week. The fans are really, really connected to the team and the club. They are demanding but really supportive and they know their job. It’s funny to say but they feel the game - they feel it and know when it’s their time to put pressure on opponents and when it’s their time to support their team.
Marciano spent most of last season playing back-up to Dutch international keeper Justin Bijlow and insists Arne Slot has quality right across his side. “It was a new country for him and a new culture. But you always saw his quality and he really exploded in the last six or seven months.“They have two great centre backs in David Hancko and Gernot Trauner who are really strong. Lutsharel Geertruida at right back and Quilindschy Hartman on the left are also good with the ball and there’s good midfielders, Mats Wieffer and Igor Paixao the Brazilian winger is also very dangerous.
“I would definitely say he is one of the best I have experienced. He likes to play football and has his own ideas of football.
