The eyes of the world will be on the east end of Glasgow for this afternoon's title blockbuster

McInnes needs just a single point to do it but that is easier said than done against Martin O'Neill who is aiming to add to the three titles he won during his first spell as Celtic manager.

It is set up to be a mouthwatering afternoon with this season's title race attracting attention from all across the globe. The Jambos stand just 90 minutes from immortality - one result away from capping a fairytale campaign by being crowned champions of Scotland. But Alistair Johnston insistsAwaiting them is a cauldron of noise, with 60,000 fans baying for blood from the first whistle as Martin O’Neill’s resurgent side chase a remarkable title comeback of their own.

Johnston knows that, beyond the east end of Glasgow and Easter Road, most neutrals will be draped in maroon scarves hoping to see a changing of the guard after 41 years of Old Firm dominance. But the Canadian defender is determined to help write another famous chapter in Celtic’s history - and collect a fourth league winners’ medal in the process. In a way, it's nice to a degree, you want to be the team that is the historical winner.

You want to be a team that's known for getting things across the line and never being out of it. I get it. It's the same growing up in North America and other sports. You always want to cheer for the underdog.

But they've got a chance. There's no doubt about that. They just need to come to Celtic Park and get a result. And it would be some feat obviously for them, how many years it's been since a team outside of Glasgow has done it?

But at the same time is that a trophy means just as much to us. We’re desperate for that league title as well. We know how much we've put in this season, to keep ourselves in it, to give ourselves this opportunity. We're not too bothered with the rest of the world things.

We're going to enjoy it just as much as we managed to get this one across the line. Lech Poznan have taken the unusual step of denying they have agreed a £2 million deal to sign loan star Luis Palma from Celtic. The Honduran winger is on loan at the Polish club, but they can't afford the original £3.5 million fee they agreed with the Hoops to sign Palma on a permanent deal if he impressed.

Reports in Poland suggested at the weekend Lech had finally thrashed out a deal with Celtic to sign the 26-year-old, who still has two years left of his deal at Parkhead. They stated: "There are advanced transfer discussions with clubs, but as of now, there are no confirmed agreements for either arrivals or departures.

" Lech would have to break their previous record transfer of £1.8 million when they signed Yannick Agnero from Halmstads last year. Palma has a month left on his loan deal at Poland and has played 29 games for Lech, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. Hearts game plan won’t change too much from any other game at Parkhead.

McInnes is a master when it comes to organising a team that is hard to beat while looking to strike on the counter. It’ll be more of the same and it might pay off.will come flying out of the traps and the atmosphere will be ferocious. Hearts will be under the cosh but they can't defend for their lives for 90 minutes.

With Shankland and Claudio Braga, they have the best frontline in the league and an early goal could flatten the mood and send anxiety levels through the roof. They can but that is too much of a risk. Hearts need to go and try to win the game. Playing for a draw is too risky.

It will take a massive performance for the Jambos to clear that final hurdle, but they are capable.

Derek McInnes has made it a manager of the year treble after adding the Scottish Football Writers’ Association award to his PFA Scotland and Glens Premiership accolades.boss has his eyes fixed firmly on the biggest prize of all - as he urged his players to finish the job in tomorrow’s all-or-nothing The Jambos - unbeaten in three meetings with the Hoops this season - only need a draw at Parkhead to be crowned champions for the first time in 66 years.has challenged them to take the final step on a sensational season and wrench the title away from reigning champs Celtic on the biggest stage of all. The players deserve so much credit for that unbeaten record.

To get to 80 points, we're breaking records as we go along every week. But the one record we really want is a title now. And to do that we're going to have to put in a big, big performance against Celtic. Because they aren't winning titles year after year without reason.

So we're going to have to beat what have been the best team for the last wee while. Not beat them on the day, but beat them to the title. The stage is set for title D-day and it's a perfect day for football. Stick with us throughout this huge afternoon as we bring you all the build up and every kick from a mammoth day.
