Celtics Al Horford Agree To Two Year Extension For $20M - RealGM Wiretap
The Boston Celtics have raced out to the NBA's best record this season at 18-4. Al Horford has been a big part of Boston's success, this year and during last season's NBA Finals run. Now, Horford will continue to hold that role for the foreseeable future.
Horford and the Celtics have agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $20 million. That will keep Horford in Boston through the 2024-25 season. Horford is on the final season of the four-year deal that he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019. After one year with the Sixers, Horford was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. After one year in Oklahoma City, Boston reacquired Horford in a trade that sent Kemba Walker and a first-round pick to the Thunder.
