A Wormleysburg man has been sentenced for stealing construction materials from a federal construction site in Harrisburg.
Christopher Gontaryk, 48, has been sentenced for stealing over $10,000 worth of materials from the site of the Sylvia H. Rambo U.S. Courthouse in Harrisburg, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. The thefts at the federal courthouse took place in October of 2021 and March of 2022. Gontaryk sold copper and brass construction materials taken from the site at a metal scrapyards in Pottsville and York, in amounts totaling $9,919.61 in the first incident and $816.40 in the second.
