The family of a Queensland man killed in Ukraine has revealed they once thwarted his plans to travel to the war zone. But 24-year-old Brock Greenwood was so determined to “make a difference” that he hatched a new, secret plan to travel. “He knew we’d try to stop him again, he didn’t want to upset us,” his mother Cassandra Parker told 7 NEWS .
“Even though we stopped him once, he said to me: ‘I’m still going to go, but I can’t be around you and mum because you make me feel guilty and make me want to stay. But it’s what I want to do’. “He truly was selfless. He wanted to put his life on the line to help people.” Parker added: “He wanted to help. He wanted to make a difference. “He wanted to go.
