The right armor makes TOTK fairy hunting a cinch.
It's not always easy to catch Fairies in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but with the right gear, it can be. Fairies are often found near shallow pools of water across Hyrule, but they're most abundant on the floating Sky Islands. They can be consumed at will to instantly restore five hearts, but more importantly, they effectively function as a second life for Link.

They're incredibly skittish, and would just as soon run away then allow themselves to be gobbled up for Link's benefit. Rarely do they give second chances; once frightened, Fairies will almost always float upward with uncharacteristic speed, quickly moving out of reach. However, with one of a few rare sets of armor, catching Fairies is a cinch in TOTK.
How To Get A Stealth Boost For Fairy Catching In Zelda: TOTK The three ways to improve Link's stealth, ordered by the difficulty of obtaining them, are Sneaky dishes, the Stealth Armor Set, and the Yiga Armor Set. Sneaky food can be made by combining any stealth-boosting ingredients, like TOTK's Sneaky River Snails or Silent Princess flowers, with whatever other palatable ingredients Link has on hand.
The Yiga Armor set is a little harder to come by. Its three pieces are spread out between Yiga Clan Branches in three different regions of Hyrule. To get it, players will have to search Yiga hideouts in the Akkala Highlands, Aldor Foothills, and on the Great Plateau. A piece of the Yiga Armor is hidden in a chest at each of these three locations. It's the hardest way to boost stealth in TOTK, but it's still worth getting.
Each of the three options for increasing stealth works equally well for catching Fairies. For a further boost, Great Fairies can upgrade either of the armor options. Don't worry, they won't hold it against Link for using their blessings to kidnap their siblings. Fairies are some of the most useful items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so it makes sense that they're hard to get, but they don't have to stay that way with the right armor.
