The new leader thanked former prime minister Rishi Sunak, commending the Tory leader's work before vowing to make substantial change. "A draining away of the hope, the spirit, the belief in a better future ... we need to move forward together." The new Prime Minister added he was determined for a"bigger reset" and a"rediscovery of who we are" as the country looks forward.
He also addressed doubts many Brits felt in the state of the country, something he was intent on tackling.
