A high-profile entertainment reporter has launched an attack against comedians who poked fun at Donald Trump 's attempted assassination on Channel 10’s top-rating quiz show.

Picture: Network 10 Comedian and radio presenter Sam Pang sarcastically chimed in and said “well you know, as a staunch republican I take offense at that”.“Tommy how did they miss? It’s a massive orange head.” Joining the onslaught, 2Day FM radio presenter Ed Kavalee used the audience’s round of laughter as an opportunity to bring in Trump’s wife Melania Trump.Mr Ford lambasted the clip, which has since been deleted from the episode on Channel 10's streaming platform, as a complete lack of awareness disguised as attempted humour.

Viewers of the contentious episode were left divided over the network’s decision to air the remarks, with some calling it to be reported to the Australian Communications and Media Authority. “So nice to be able to make comedy of the news without caring what some think,” another person said.
