Channel 4 is obliged to offer news, current affairs, documentaries, all kinds of programmes which are made with a very distinctive British voice. "It's got a completely different model from Netflix and should never be compared to Netflix. It's only politicians, who don't understand the difference between one thing and another, who compare all of these businesses in some sort of way.
"During that time, we'll continue to work with DCMS and government, and with our supporters across the industry to make the arguments to ensure that Channel 4 can continue to deliver its remit," she said.Who could buy Channel 4 and how much could it be sold for?
