The first episode of Belfast Midwives on Channel 4 enchanted viewers last night , who praised the "angels" for the role they play in bringing children into the world. The series is a five-part behind-the-scenes documentary about staff and families that go through the doors of the Royal Jubilee Maternity Hospital in Belfast.
One user @shivvybaby87 said: "And now I'm crying someone give these midwives a pay rise, walking angels". Many praised the show for covering birthing difficulties, still births and grief, Rachel King said: "so relieved that you covered stillbirths in this program".
