The country’s second largest telecommunications provider Optus has suffered a disastrous start to Wednesday with an ongoing nationwide outage, leaving millions without phone services or internet, and some trains in Melbourne ground to a halt.
Phone users are unable to make or receive calls, or use the internet on Optus’ mobile network, and users of Optus resellers like Amaysim and Coles Mobile are also down. “Optus is aware of an issue that may be impacting some of our mobile and internet customers,” the spokesman said.
