A Qantas flight from Adelaide to Sydney has been cancelled ahead of the AFL preliminary final on Friday due to an engineering issue.
'Ridiculous': Port Adelaide fans left fuming as Qantas cancels flight to Sydney due to engineering issue ahead of preliminary final
The flight was only added to Qantas’ schedule this week in a bid to “help more fans cheer on Port Adelaide” at the game starting at 7.40pm at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Adelaide Now reported one customer forked out $1,000 for his flight and was on his way to the airport when he learnt it was cancelled without explanation.
Disaster at Adelaide Airport this morning as punters who paid $900+ to get to the Preliminary Final have had their flight cancelled...“Our teams have worked hard to get footy fans on their way as soon as possible and all customers impacted are due to arrive into Sydney in time for the game.”
