'We are shocked and heartbroken that a part of our family has passed away.'
A mental health charity has asked for "prayers and love" for the family of a young volunteer who died suddenly last week.She sadly died at her home in Derry on Sunday.
"In honour of them we will close this week and would ask the public to send prayers and love to her family. Speaking to Belfast Live in 2020, Alana said she began volunteering at Me4Mental in order to "make a change in someone's life for the better". In a family notice, Alana is described as the "beloved daughter of Michael and Lily; loving sister of Brendan, Aíne, Doírean and Conor; a much loved aunt of Conal, Odhrán, Aobhé, Kelan, Sheenagh, Niamh, Clionagh, Theo and Rían."
