EXCLUSIVE: A royal photographer who captured King Charles and Queen Camilla for their Coronation, has paid tribute to the couple for their 'dedication' and 'support' of each other
King Charles and Queen Camilla, who ascended to the throne in September 2022 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, have a real "dedication to duty", a royal photographer has revealed. Despite the ongoing rift between Prince Harry and being struck with a shocking cancer diagnosis, His Majesty has been applauded for his sense of humour and kindness as he takes the role in his stride.
As Charles takes a step back from royal duties, a photographer who has worked closely with the monarch, has paid tribute to his remarkable dedication and sense of humour that could "make you fall off your chair". Hugo Burnand, who was given the honour of taking the official photographs of King Charles' Coronation, spoke exclusively to OK! about the occasion and what it showed of the royal couple.
Hugo stressed how considerate the couple were, despite being under huge pressure. "They both were so kind and generous in spirit and I really liked that," he said. "I was just photographing people I’ve known for a long time. I’m able to crack and share a joke with them and that enables me to get on with the job of photography without thinking, ‘Ooh, it’s the King!'"
With photography so near and dear to the Royal Family’s heart, why not follow in the footsteps of senior royals such as Kate Middleton and the late Queen and give the hobby a go for yourself, with Kate’s exact camera, the Fujifilm XT3 currently on sale here for £709.
