William asked him to participate in the Omaze campaign to help the appeal, which supercharged donations and raised £4 million for the charity's cause. Mr Paul said Beckham is an “excellent ambassador for the country” and has “shown his worth”, adding his knighthood “is not in the post yet, but it's on its way”.
“David Beckham is everywhere. He's sponsoring and commercialising himself. Obviously, this is the end of his career. Beckham’s alleged tax avoidance has seen him continually snubbed from receiving knighthood from Charles. Revelations about the tax scheme, coupled with him buying a seven-bedroom house in London’s Holland Park for nearly $40 million and the Beckhams’ spendthrift lifestyle, were reportedly enough for the former head of civil service Bob Kerslake and the chairman of the Honors Committee to deny the star from the honor.
“I think he has to put some more work into the King's Trust, and I think he'll be seen many more times with the King and William before that honour comes his way.
