'There's a gap in the market that Manchester is missing - and it's this.'
Reality TV star Charlotte Crosby may be known as a proud Geordie, but she says Manchester more than matches her home city when it comes to the nightlife.
Jake adds: "The way I sum it up is Manchester meets Mayfair. With Scottie already owning Isabel in Mayfair, we've really implemented a Mayfair brand in Manchester now. It makes the venue quite special." "But with the money being pumped into this area, there's a lot of apartments springing up, lots of shops, it's close to Piccadilly Station, it's an area we think we can capitalise on.Charlotte and Jake have just celebrated their engagement, and are parents to 18-month-old daughter Alba Jean. But alongside family life, the couple also have lots of business interests keeping them busy too.
Jake, from Cheadle, knows all about the nightlife scene in Manchester, having first started out at the tender age of 18 working at legendary club night Eivissa. Jake says: "When I was 18 I just approached Scott Thomas and said I think I've got a bit about me, can I have a job? He saw a little bit of a gem in the dirt with me, and I jumped on the back of his tail really and started networking around town.
He says: "I wasn't really looking for it to be honest, I was happy with my own business, but then an offer came up from Scottie about two years ago. "When he showed me the brand in London, Isabel, when you've been there and experienced that you think wow, this is the real deal. There's a gap in the market that Manchester is missing - and it's this."
