Astros outfielder Chas McCormick was held out of the starting lineup on Saturday against the Rangers after he left Friday’s game with vision issues, but said he felt better less than 24 hours later.
When McCormick stepped into the batter’s box in the first inning, he could somewhat see the baseball but realized that Rangers pitcher Martín Pérez looked blurry. McCormick drew a walk in his first and only plate appearance of the night, but his inability to focus at longer distances continued to bother him and he exited the game to seek treatment.
