The US giant is still working to restore full production at Wheatstone LNG after a technical fault, hampered by disruptive industrial action at its plants.

Traditional custodian Raelene Cooper, who applied for the injunction, said she was “elated” by the decision, which prevents Woodside proceeding until her legal challenge to the validity of the environmental approval has been heard. WoodsideMs Cooper is arguing she has not been properly consulted by Woodside on the seismic “blasting”, which she says will have life-threatening consequences for several species of water life, including whales.
