Chevron's stock drop a bigger drag on Dow than boost from J.P. Morgan's stock

J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.'s JPM, +0.84% stock surge of 2.4% in premarket trade Friday was providing a boost to Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YMM9, +0.70% but not quite enough to erase the drag from the 5.0% tumble in Chevron Corp. CVX, +0.40% shares. The implied price gain for J.P. Morgan's stock, after the banking giant reported better-than-expected first-quarter results, would add about 17 points to the Dow's price DJIA, -0.
