“This is going to play a huge role in helping us figure out what are the crucial components of an electrification project in Chicago,” said Chicago Recovery Plan Director Lindy Wordlaw. “I think there are some great learnings that will help inform program planning and policy efforts for years to come.
The work on her home began with an assessment of potential energy savings and a blower test, in which a big fan is used to determine whether windows and doors are leaking. “My inconvenience was small in comparison to all of the amazing work that they did,” Raby said. “I’m really happy with it.”As concern about climate change grows, there are many disagreements about how best to achieve national and international goals of net zero emissions by 2050 and prevent the worst effects of global warming.
