CHICAGO -- At least 15 people have been shot, three fatally, in weekend violence across Chicago, police said.About 2:45 p.m., the shooter got out of a car and fired at two of the men as they stood in the 11600-block of South Lowe Avenue, Chicago police said.
Larry Purnell, 64, was standing near a front lawn when he was struck in the chest. He was taken to the same hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to the medical examiner's office.Michael Conrad After the shooting, the man fled and struck multiple cars, causing his vehicle to turn over, police said.The teens were walking on a sidewalk about 8:30 p.m. in the 4600-block of West Dickens Street when someone opened fire, police said.
