Child poverty rates for ethnic minority groups in Glasgow continue to be higher, according to a new report submitted to Glasgow city councillors.

An assessment published in 2022 involved a survey with over 2300 LGBT+ people, with over a quarter of respondents being local to Glasgow. An update was presented to elected members earlier today who have a statutory duty to develop and publish an annual local child poverty action report . Councillor Holly Bruce said: “I am disappointed that there is nothing in the report about child poverty and violence against women.
