Paramedics and an RACQ Lifeflight helicopter were called to Table Top Mountain in Toowoomba around 4.45pm yesterday after the primary school-aged child fell down a rocky embankment.A rescue helicopter has been called to winch a child from a Queensland mountain after the young boy fell 20-30 metres down rocky embankment.
RACQ Lifeflight crews flew the rescue helicopter to the mountain in an attempt to rescue the child while Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics and fire and rescue crews climbed the mountain on foot."At last light, the crew of the rescue chopper winched the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic down to the scene," an RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said.The boy fell from Table Top Mountain in south-east Queensland.
Once the young boy was stabilised, he was winched on a stretcher to the rescue helicopter and taken to Queensland Children's Hospital in Brisbane.
