CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (AP) — El volante chileno Diego Valdés firmó el miércoles una extensión de contrato que lo mantendrá con el América hasta el 2026, informó el club mexicano.
Valdés, de 29 años, arribó a las Águilas en enero de 2022 procedente de Santos Laguna con un acuerdo que se extendía hasta el 2024.
El volante creativo ha sido seleccionado absoluto de Chile en 18 ocasiones, tres de ellas en lo que va del presente año.Fue seleccionado Sub23 en el Mundial de Turquía 2013 y participó en la Copa América de Brasil 2019, ya con el equipo mayor.Con las Águilas, el chileno ha disputado 64 partidos, en los que ha marcado 24 tantos.
Valdés inició su carrera con el Audax de su país en el 2012 y cuatro años más tarde fichó con el Morelia de México donde permaneció hasta el 2019 cuando emigró a Santos Laguna.
