The Chinese Embassy has posted an image to social media of their Ambassador to Australia, Xiao Qian, meeting Australia’s National Secretary Paul Erickson.
“Erickson says Labor’s policy is one of engagement, and he took the advice of the Albanese government in accepting the invitation to the meeting,” said Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
In a statement provided, Mr Erickson said his visit was “an opportunity to share the Labor Party’s view that a constructive relationship between Australia and China is in both of our countries’ interests”.
