Chinese authorities have officially confirmed there were no survivors in the crash of a China Eastern flight earlier this week with 132 people on board, as the search for the second black box continues:

Construction excavators dug into the crash site on Saturday in the search for wreckage, remains and the second black box. SearchersWorkers wearing knee-high rubber boots used shovels and other hand tools to sift through the earthen slopes in a 20-metre-deep pit left by the plane. Searchers have already found the cockpit voice recorded but have yet to find the flight data recorder.
