China has released a scathing retort after it was criticised for the space debris that fell to Earth, with the country branding its critics “jealous”.
, with NASA Administrator Bill Nelson accusing China of “failing to meet responsible standards regarding their space debris”.

Picture: STR/AFPblasting the US scientists and NASA for their “shameless hype” of the debris event in order to “discredit” China’s aerospace industry. “In March, a piece of debris from a SpaceX rocket fell onto a farm in Washington state, which is one of the closest examples of rocket debris that had the potential to cause damage,” the article stated.The media outlet went to on to claim that those who have criticised China over the debris fall are merely jealous of the country’s “rapid progress in space technology”.
The media outlet went on to accuse the US of disguising its “selfishness and unreasonable demands” as international justice.
