Fighter jets have been spotted taking off from a Taiwan air base as China begins three days of military drills in response to President Tsai’s meeting with U.S. Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
The Chinese army’s Eastern Theater Command issued a statement describing the drills as sending a “serious
warning” about combat readiness just one day after the Taiwanese President returned from the United States.
