China’s state media has reported the country’s foreign minister Qin Gang has been removed from office.
The 57-year-old has not made public appearances for the last month – prompting speculation about his position.
The foreign ministry previously cited health reasons for Mr Qin’s absence, during which time China’s top diplomat took on many of the foreign minister’s duties.
