China claims to have reported its first COVID-19 deaths in six months as the country battles its worst wave of cases since Shanghai’s spring outbreak.
The three fatalities reported in Beijing since Saturday bring China’s official death toll to 5,229, with 27,095 cases reported across the country on Monday.
