China’s President Xi Jinping is visiting Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin in hopes of brokering a peace deal with Ukraine.
China has denied this, alleging the US is at fault for sending weapons to Ukraine, undermining peace efforts.
A statement released by President Xi said “China has always taken an objective and impartial position in relation to the situation in Ukraine”. “China’s proposal serves to neutralise the consequences of the crisis, and promote a political settlement, saying that complex problems do not have simple solutions.”
