Beijing has warned that Australia must immediately stop “dangerous” and “provocative” acts, after a RAAF surveillance jet was intercepted by China.
This comes after Australia's Defence Department released a statement on Sunday to announce a P-8 plane was intercepted by a Chinese jet on May 26 while it was undertaking"routine maritime surveillance" in international airspace.

"China will never allow any country to invade China's sovereignty and security or undermine peace and stability in the South China Sea under the pretext of freedom of navigation," he said.
