Chinese nationals sent $260,000 in bank wires to Hunter Biden in 2019 and listed President Biden’s home as the address, House Republicans revealed Tuesday, calling it more refutation of the president’s repeated claims of having nothing to do with his son’s business dealings.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer said he obtained the wires as part of a subpoena for records related to the younger Mr. Biden’s dealings.
Mr. Comer said the elder Mr. Biden, who already was running for president at the time of the wire, had “developed a familiar relationship” with Mr. Li by then. Mr. Biden, during a presidential debate in the 2020 campaign, vehemently denied that his son had “made money” from dealings with China.
