Chris Dawson has been found guilty of murdering his wife Lynette Dawson more than 40 years after she vanished from their home on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Justice Ian Harrison delivered his verdict to a packed courtroom on Tuesday after an exhaustive 10-week trial.

Offer ends 31 October, 2022Harrison said he was satisfied Lynette died on January 8, 1982 and that she did not leave her Northern Beaches home voluntarily. Justice Harrison said there was"scant evidence" Lynette had the means to fund a new life if she had left the home voluntarily.
Lynette vanished from the couple's home weeks after Dawson unsuccessfully tried to run off with the babysitter. Notes tendered to the court showed Dawson"professing his love" to JC as well as a Christmas card suggesting the pair would one day marry.
