McKinney is certainly a step up for the Scotsmanin Florida, is currently on a four-fight unbeaten run after falling short in his first Dana White Contender Series appearance in October 2021.
The 30-year-old was invited back to the show less than 12 months later and made good on his second shot at glory by knocking out Charlie Campbell inside one round. Since then, he’s picked up wins over Omar Morales and Yanal Ashmouz to improve his record to 11-1 and establish himself as a favourite among British MMA fans – now he’s set for the biggest fight of his life.
In June 2021, McKinney burst onto the scene with a seven-second knockout win over Matt Frevola to set a UFC lightweight record for the fastest finish.
