Coldplay’s Chris Martin has shocked fans after suddenly falling through a trap door on stage at the final Melbourne show of the band’s Music of the Spheres World Tour on Sunday night.
The British rock band was performing in front of 60,000 fans at Marvel Stadium when Martin took a tumble through a hole in the stage, leaving the crowd stunned.

The 21-year-old was dancing around the dark stage at Rod Laver Arena when she disappeared in the gap, understood to be used for the singer to rise out of when opening the show before being sealed off.The singer kept his composure, telling the audience, “that’s not planned” and thanking the stagehand who had caught him, before resuming the show.
