But Pettit was arrested and criminally charged before he could be released. He remains in jail pending a detention hearing Tuesday. If convicted, he’ll likely spend years in prison.Since Pettit’s bankruptcy filings, the trustee has been rounding up assets — including real estate, vehicles and other property — to sell for the benefit of creditors who hold about $260 million claims between the two bankruptcies. Estate assets come nowhere near the amount of claims.
Chapter 11 trustee Eric Terry is now in control of Roble Dorado and has entered into a contract to sell the Florida mansion to Red Fox Orlando LLC. It’s based in Lincoln, Neb., and headed by businessman Shawn Peed.Terry already has sold some of the other real estate Pettit amassed via bankruptcy court auctions in late October:
