Chris Shields believes he will be long gone before VAR finally arrives in the Irish League - which is probably a good thing as far as the Linfield midfielder is concerned.
Blues boss David Healy raised the issue of VAR in his post-match media, but midfielder Shields doesn't believe it would benefit the local game. Shields believes cost will determine the introduction of VAR in Northern Ireland, but he says the technology robs players and fans of the "brutal emotion" of football.
