TV star Christine McGuinness shares her experiences with autism and how she copes with it in a personal Instagram post.
Christine McGuinness just got personal with her fans on Instagram about living with autism. The TV star posted a black and white photo of her sitting in her car, accompanied by two snapshots explaining the 'autism meltdown spiral' and the 'post meltdown.' She captioned the images: ''Might delete later' kinda post.
Because my autistic self likes to present perfection, this goes against what I like to share but it is part (a small part thankfully my ‘moments’ are few and far between) of me being authentically autistic. The music in my car helps to block out the noise in my head. Music is medicine for me. And understanding the spiral really helps, I hope the visual representation helps others too." Christine added that while "every person is different and may feel differently," for her, the diagrams are an accurate representation of her experiences. The 35 year old continued: "Be kind to yourself, remember it passes, it always passes." Before signing off the post, Christine assured fans that she is "absolutely fine," and she doesn't want to "worry anyone.
