Christine says she finally feels comfortable with who she is and is embracing her single era
As she navigates through her divorce from former partner Paddy McGuinness, Christine is embracing life as a single woman.
Recent reports suggest that Paddy, 50, and Christine are on the verge of finalising a friendly out-of-court divorce settlement, sidestepping an expensive and lengthy court battle with plans to continue residing in their £4million Cheshire mansion for the time being. The couple parted ways in July 2022.
Mum-of-three Christine is set to showcase her culinary skills on Celebrity Masterchef. Audiences can expect to see her efforts to wow judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace on the BBC programme next month. As well as being a novice in the kitchen, Christine has also got to contend with her sensory issues, which are part of her autism. "I'm nervous about food with all my sensory issues so I'm not the most confident in the kitchen," she admitted at the Tric Awards in London. We eat very beige plain food. Bread, pasta." Christine says the show has given her the opportunity to push herself - and also gives a platform to autism.
Since splitting with Paddy, Christine says she is enjoying going on her own voyage of self discovery. "I've got a new lease of life," she says. "Something quite magical happens when a woman turns 35. What can I do to make myself happy? As a mum, you've always got someone above you. Everything I do is for them. I want to travel more. I want to go to Thailand. I'd love to go to America. I'd love to do a travel show.
