A vehicle fire has stopped traffic on the M18 in South Yorkshire, near Sheffield, while long delays are also being reported onnorthbound, also near Sheffield. One person stuck in the traffic said: "M1 Junction 30, northbound, Sheffield, it is standstill traffic, not moving at all. Traffic banner says incident ahead."
Traffic is also not moving between Junction 1, Bawtry Road, and Junction 2, for the A1 after a vehicle burst into flames.On Yorkshire's railways, Transpennine Express is running a "severely reduced service" between Leeds and Edinburgh, Liverpool Lime Street and Hull and York and Scarborough due to "roster and timetable problems." Commuters have been told to expect short notice delays and cancellations throughout today.
