Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer criticized Sen. Tommy Tuberville on Tuesday for"endlessly" holding up the confirmations of 184 military leaders, calling the Alabama senator's stonewalling"outrageous."
Schumer's statement comes after Tuberville blocked Sen. Elizabeth Warren's attempts to push through the promotions with unanimous consent in the Senate earlier on Tuesday. "I will come down here as many times as it takes day to night to vote. I’m not afraid to vote," Tuberville said. “I am keeping my word. This is [Defense] Secretary [Lloyd] Austin’s choice, not mine. He knew the consequences for months."
