A Sky News host has slammed the Voice to Parliament debate as 'low brow and toxic' accusing the No campaign of being 'racially divisive.'

Sky News host Chris Kenny made the accusation on Monday night, during an editorial in which he described the current referendum debate as “low-brow and toxic.”

“On one side you have the Yes case, pushing for the constitutional recognition Indigenous Australia has asked for, but with pretty ordinary advocacy hampered by their reluctance to detail exactly how they'd do it,” the Sky News host said.“They say they support a legislated voice, so they apparently agree that Indigenous people should be able to have a say on laws and policies directed at them. But they oppose it being in the constitution.

The veteran journalist, who hosts the self-titled Kenny on Sky News Australia, said that while he had frequently pointed out that the referendum was “not about race”, the No Campaign kept trying to make it about race.
