Overnight that was painted over with the pro-gun sign, “Allow us to defend ourselves & carry on campus.” That feeling was prevalent Wednesday night as thousands of students, university employees and alumni -- among them Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Spartans men's basketball coach Tom Izzo -- joined in mourning.
