A clear winner has emerged in the wake of the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate on Wednesday morning as the moderators once again come under fire for apparent lopsided fact checking.

The CBS News Vice Presidential Debate has concluded with multiple polls finding a clear winner despite the moderators, once again, receiving bad press over fact checking. Picture: Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images/AFP Brennan was quick to interject and correct Vance and said the “large number of Haitian migrants” have “legal status, temporary protected status”, before attempting to move on to the topic of the economy.

“That’s not a person coming in, applying for green card and waiting for 10 years … this is the facilitation of illegal immigration, Margaret, by our own leadership, and Kamala Harris opened up that pathway.”Vance then rebutted Walz’s claim, and said it was not true, but the moderators cut them off: “Gentlemen, the audience can’t hear you because your mics are cut. We have so much we want to get to, thank you for explaining the legal process”.
