The man accused of abducting four-year-old Cleo Smith from her family's tent appears in a Carnarvon court in Western Australia, with his case adjourned for seven weeks.
The man accused of abducting four-year-old Cleo Smith from her family and keeping her for 18 days has made another appearance in court, but there has been no indication of whether he will defend the allegations against him.He appeared via video link from a Perth prisonTerence Darrell Kelly, 36, appeared in Carnarvon Magistrates Court via video link from the maximum-security Casuarina Prison, wearing a light grey t-shirt and with his long hair tied back from his face.
Ms Turtley-Chappel requested a seven-week adjournment which was granted by Magistrate Benjamin White.He made no application for bail and was remanded in custody until he appears again via video link on January 24.the day after he was charged with forcibly taking a child under 16Mr Kelly was arrested in Carnarvon in the early hours of November 3, around the same time police stormed their way into the locked house where he lived and found Cleo awake and playing with toys.
