CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cleveland man is accused of being part of a group that used stolen Kias to carryout a smash-and-grab burglary at a gun dealer in Bath Township.
Prosecutors filed the charge Wednesday, hours after police and federal agents raided his home. No attorneys are listed in court records, and a court date has not yet been set. A 16-year-old boy and the teen’s brother picked up Teasley early on Nov. 3 and handed him a clear facemask before the trio stole a Kia Optima parked on Kempton Avenue, court records say.
The group jumped in a stolen Kia Sportage and sped away before Bath Township police arrived, according to an ATF agent’s affidavit filed in court. They left behind the car that smashed into the store and the hammer.
