Welser-Möst plans to return to the podium in January. Indeed, he’s listed on the orchestra’s website as the conductor for the Jan. 11-13 performances of “The Miraculous Mandarin” as well as Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 2 and Symphony No. 5 on Jan. 17-18.
