Hundreds of Taylor Swift superfans have been ordered to self-isolate for a week after 97 coronavirus cases were linked to a Sydney dance party blasting the pop star’s music.
Revellers who attended the “On Repeat: Taylor Swift Red Party” at Metro Theatre from 9pm onwards on Friday December 10 are close contacts and must immediately get tested and isolate for seven days.
NSW Health believe some of the COVID-19 cases linked to the venue are the Omicron variant of concern. “We are urgently contacting 600 people who attended Metro Theatre at this time and checked in via the QR code and is directing them and members of their households to immediately get tested and follow public health advice,” NSW Health said.
