The Coalition is the preferred party nationally at 38 per cent to Labor's 27 per cent and also has big leads in NSW , Victoria and Queensland according to the poll. "Well, worse than I would have thought. And particularly, I guess, of concern to Labor is the sort of the polling in Victoria and New South Wales," he told Steve Price on Sky News Australia.
He also noted it was rarer to see issues within a state affect the federal election, but that Labor is being punished"because theOpposition Leader Peter Dutton is also the preferred Prime Minister across the nation according to the poll, leading 39 to 34 per cent over Anthony Albanese.
